Some people grind their teeth excessively, resulting in worn enamel. What can be done? The worn edges of the teeth can be restored with fillings or veneers, provided there is space available. Future wear should be prevented by wearing a mouth-guard when sleeping. Certain worn teeth could be restored to provide guidance to the jaw during chewing. Meditation also helps, as it calms the mind down, so that there is less mental activity while we sleep. When the mind is calm, the body will move less.
When multiple teeth are worn down, it can be costly to repair them because you cannot just repair one tooth, as the teeth that are not restored will not be able to bite properly.
