Protrusion of the upper front teeth is a common problem. This could result from thumb-sucking, lip biting, improper lip placement, or problems with the upper or lower jaw. When the upper teeth are over-protruded, they become prone to injury. Trauma to the front of the mouth may end up in tooth fracture, displacement of the teeth, or complete loss when the tooth is knocked out of the mouth. Teeth protrusion should be corrected early with orthodontic treatment to prevent injuries.
