There is considerable variation in the sizes of the upper lateral incisor teeth. Sometimes, they are small and conical in shape. They can be built up to a bigger size with composite resin filling material, or a veneer (or laminate) can be placed over the teeth to make them look bigger. In building up a small lateral incisor, the adjacent teeth would serve as a guide as to the appropriate size that would be aesthetically pleasing, and compatible with neighbouring teeth.
